Pros: - Vibe is ok - Service was good - Food came quickly - Plating was decent - Tasty and authentic food Cons: - Noisy karaoke bar next door - Bathroom was in need of service - Parking lot was large but pretty full Overall: 4/5 Bun Dau Mam Tom: 5/5 Sauce was perfect, Cha Com was authentic, the noodles were just a bit too soft. Mi Xao Bo Luc Lac: 3/5 Noodles lacked flavor but the beef was good. Other Notes: Overall price was good and the taste was authentic.
My favorite thing to get here is the bun cha Hanoi. The meat is flavorful, and they give you plenty of veggies. I have had the bun moc twice, and it was ok. The bun bo hue is new, or so it said on the menu, so we tried it. It was a no go. The broth was not it. It tasted like too much msg and really sweet. Barely enough meat and the meat were chewy. The worst bbh bowl I ever ate. Bun cha Hanoi 9/10 recommend Bun moc 7/10 would get again Bun bo hue 0/10 I wouldn't even call it bun bo hue
The food was bomb! 100%! Highly recommend if you are craving authentic Vietnamese food. The service was on-point! Kevin was really attentive and recommended the best for us! The ambiance was chill and lovely. Definitely a place to go after work!
peaceful spot that serves amazing hanoi food. first time trying bun cha and it was delicious. been here another time to try the rice with bbq pork, and i gobbled the entire plate down. can't wait to come back to try other things from the menu :3
So my girlfriend and I are nearly hitting the rank of 'Regulars' at this delicious establishment. As I'm still trying new Vietnamese food, I've found a few dishes that are already my favorite at Ha Noi corner! But here's my review from 5.3.24 around 6:33pm! FOOD The dishes we ordered were SO DIEP NUONG TRUNG CUT (Grilled Scallop with Quail eggs with onion sauce) for appetizer, for our main dishes we ordered B9: BUN RIEU CUA LOT HA NOI (Ha Noi Soft-shell Crab tomato tofu, crunchy pork patty vermicelli soup) and B8: BUN THAI TOM YUM HAI SAN (Thai Tom Yum Noodle Soup with assorted seafood and pork) So Diep Nuong Trung Cut | Grilled Scallop with Quail eggs with onion sauce The last few times we've ate here, we're always ordering this appetizer. I love grilled scallop and my girlfiend loves quail eggs. Topping it off with onion sauce....it's the perfect combo! Highly recommend this appetizer if you're feeling scallop, quail eggs or both! Bun Rieu Cua Lot Ha No (B9) From my knowledge, this is one of the dishes that Ha Noi Corner is known for! Fan favorite and definitely our favorite! Perfect entree for those cold cloudy days or even for the Summer time! Bun Thai Tom Yum Hai San (B8) Recently tried this bowl of goodness this year and I've been hooked! I'm a huge fan of tom yum soup and having it served with shrimp and pork and assorted seafood is the ultimate combo for me! It's highly addicting and warms the soul, no-brainer my favorite dish! Dessert | Mochi/ube filled pastry I missed the name of this tasty dessert but it's a new item and wanted a fine dessert as the cherry on top. We enjoyed it but I feel like something was missing. It's nice that it was made to order so you can actually watch them make it from your seat! Keep in mind that this is a new item added to the menu so it may take time for it to be an official item! SERVICE Always on point with their service even if it's busy. Moderately checking up on us to see how we're doing while not being a nuisance. Time from ordering to receiving your food is pretty spot on as well. So if you're hungry, you won't be waiting too long! OVERALL Trying to reach that 'Regulars' rank for this place, I've yet to try all the food here so you can count on me coming back! Parking is pretty decent but weekends can differ so plan ahead! Especially during lunch or dinner time!
Been coming here for two years now and still have been more than satisfied with the food. Brought newcomers and all have said they want to come back. Get the Bun Cha Hanoi!
Coming back to the states from Vietnam, bestowed with a taste for a dish I frequented in the mother land. Bun Chaaaa!!!! I was on a search to find and relive this flavorful experience. I noticed that when I came back, this dish was not as popular here in the states. That's when I found Ha Noi Corner. I drove all the way from LA to try their Bun Cha Hanoi. It was love at first bite. The perfect recreation of presentation, flavor, portion, and ambiance that captivates Vietnams capital. Looking around it really felt like I was there for a moment. My partner had the their highly recommended bun rieu. It was packed with fish and soft shell crab . Never have I ever seen or tasted this soup so authentic! If you're in the area and want to visit the capital city without hopping on a plane. Enjoy great friendly service with tasty food. I recommend you stop by Ha Noi Corner.
Fresh off my trip to Hanoi, this restaurant really reminded me of the food and energy in Vietnam! I had the bun cha which was plated beautifully and served with a generous amount of veggies and noodles. It was great with their mango and kumquat tea. Service was fast and the food came out quickly. I love how on weekends they serve banh 10 won outside! Banh 10 won is a trendy new dessert from Korea that is served at every night market in Vietnam. It is a warm cheesy pancake-like dessert. I would check their instagram in advance to see what hours they are selling it but it is definitely worth it for the late night in Vietnam vibes.
My family and I have been patronizing the restaurant for years - old location, new location, any location - they still make a very good chả cá thăng long among other Northern Vietnamese dishes. I recently lunched here with my mom. We accidentally ordered 2 chả cá thăng long ($17) entrees though one order is just about enough if you're sharing with the intention of trying other things. If you haven't had the pleasure of trying this dish, it's delightfully pungent - fish filets are seasoned in turmeric and cooked on a sizzling plate with dill and onions. It's served with vermicelli noodles, plenty of herbs, and mắm nêm. The version here is quite good - the filets are big and flakey. The mắm nêm also packs a punch. Ha Noi Corner offers a lot of Northern Vietnamese dishes you won't find elsewhere. I like that their menu is always evolving to offer something new along with something old.
